If you go into the relationship expecting the man to act a certain way based on his ethnic background, it could potentially backfire.
But do not go into the relationship with no expectations; go in with the expectations any woman should have when dating any man: expect him to respect you and your beliefs (tho he may not agree with them), love you (and you him), not to force you into anything you do not want to do or feel comfortable doing, etc. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments".Submitted by irene (United States), Aug 27, 2006 at After being in a relationship with a Turkish man, we are both older in our 40s with grown children in early 20's and had our own homes living in Arizona.Be careful as to whom wants to date your daughter, be it an American boy or a Turkish, in the end it comes to much much communication, showing interest but also posing the right questions with checkes and balances. You need to visit Turkey and know the country and the language, that is 100% for sure!!!!!But please look out for easy daters, quick with romantic words after only a week, it could be real love at first sight but simply also a play..
